Worry Wart
The title is meant to be an admission. I am a worry wart. In fact, I have something I am worried about right this moment. It has kept me from having anything to write about this week. Hopefully, after tomorrow, I will have it confirmed that I have nothing to worry about. Until then, I give you random thoughts:
1. I am bothered by what Al Sharpton had to say at Michael Jackson's funeral.
2. On that topic, I am reading The Weight of Glory by C.S. Lewis at the moment. In light of that fact, I find the various interpretations of heaven people are putting forth to be very interesting.
3. I have got to clean my floors this afternoon.
4. One of my favorite local newscasters is retiring.
5. Why do we talk about death by saying "God has taken" someone? Doesn't that blame God and make Heaven sound frightening?
6. Little One and I bought half of her school supplies yesterday. Exciting times for her. Sad for me.
7. Scrubs makes me laugh.
8. I finally cried listening to Michael Jackson's daughter try to eulogize her father. I can't imagine being so young and dealing with the death of a parent.
9. Distraction is a good thing to have. Thanks, Xanga.
10. I watched Spellbound recently. Gregory Peck was a handsome man.
11. He was twenty-eight when that movie was made. I am near that age, give or take a few years. I don't think I look as old as he did at that age. I wonder if we are beginning to look younger and younger.
12. Maybe I just don't feel old.
Okay. Enough. If you are actually still reading--Bless you. This is rather inane.
Chat with you later.

I think we are on the same wavelength on about four of these.
I think people are looking younger these days. I wonder why?
you had better chat with me, later. we go way back, after all.
This might've been inane, but I loved it. Gregory Peck is lovely. His grandson in the television version of 10 things I hate about you. For that reason alone, I'm going to watch it.
Also, I refused to watch the funeral coverage. I am uncomfortable with it being broadcast on tv. Strikes me as...I don't know. Intrusive, in a way. But I'm weird. That said, I really feel for his kids.
I haven't seen any of the Jackson tribute yet. What did Sharpton say that was so bothersome? 5, 9, 11, 12..... I hear ya
I like the randomness of this. Why do they call it worry wart? Why not "worry blister" or "worry corn?"
Gregory Peck always looked kinda old. Old and still delicious.
@Blue__Summer - He is?! I knew there was a reason I wanted to watch that show.
What did #1 have to say? :O
School supplies already?? It's only July!
What did Sharpton say? I've had CNN on all day, but I muted it (I have a tv in the office) for the phone and forgot about it.
School supplies?! UGH... 1st grade, lol!
Pretty much everything that comes out of Al Sharpton's mouth bothers me somehow.
Hope things are resolved so you can focus your worrying on things like why Pepsi is introducing (for a limited time) old Pepsi - made with natural sugar! I though it already had natural sugar. What is unnatural sugar? Nutrasweet? Then it would be diet, right?! I'm so confused. And I don't even drink Pepsi!
Was it just me, or did Al Sharpton look a lot like Albert Einstein today?
WORRY WARTS, FTW.
@apennieformythoughts - I want to know too. So when you find out, fill a brother in.
You're making me want to go see what Al Sharpton had to say. Shopping for school supplies is always exciting when you're young. I wish it stayed that way.
aww...it's okay
*hugs*:DI think we are looking younger too. Maybe because less people are smoking than at that time? idk.
Thank you so much for the friendship!
