A Mini-Rant
My nephew, Lord love him, locked us all out of my daughters' bathroom. He went in, peed, locked the door, shut the door, and poof.
That was yesterday.
This morning I couldn't give my daughters a bath because they have uber-sensitive skin, and I had no access to their soaps and shampoos. They also couldn't brush their teeth.
I used all my skill to break into the bathroom yesterday and today. Hubby tried, too. (And he was shocked that I couldn't pick the lock. I am quite adept at that when I need to be.)
Tonight, we had to literally tear into the door. Now, my sweet nephew, Lord love him, is the cause for needing to buy a new door.
I don't know if we can find one to match.
Once again, I remind you Xanga--and you, Hubby--
THE BAKERY IS CLOSED!
No. More. Kids.
Thank you.
Have a great weekend.

Oh my, I'm so sorry!
Xanga, my bakery is closed as well...no. more. buns.
awww! since you knew you would ruin the door anyways, did you hack into it with an ax, "heeeere's JOHNNY!" style? =P
Maybe you could lock him up in a dark, dank basement or shed and tell him it's for as long as he was in the bathroom. Let him out, though, after a few minutes.
i had to laugh, heheheheh. sorry KC. but you know i love you and that i feel for you. hugs!
I'm 19, so mine's maybe not closed, but it's at the very least off for the weekend.
And that sucks to have to pay for a new door, but it's still pretty funny. If you're not laughing now - which you seem to be anyway - I have a feeling you will be later. =)
Darn kids! Keep that bakery door barred! Sorry you have to buy a new door.
The oven is off but the mixer still works!!
was it like the shining?
My daughter did that when she was little. Luckily the door handle had a tiny hole...and a special key hidden in a plastic container in my junk drawer. I never thought I'd have to use it and was glad I remembered where I put it....and that nobody went through that drawer and said "what the ???? is this".
@seedsower - LMAO!!!
I locked myself in the bathroom when I was a little one and climbed up on the counter. I was too scared to climb back down though and my mom couldn't get in to help me - I'm not sure she even knew what had me so upset. She had to call the police, but Dad got home before they did and he picked the lock.
Oh my! Sad about the door but kids do those kind of things... Make sure the next one has a "failsafe" so it can be unlocked from the outside in case of emergency. It will come in handy to threaten teens that you will come in if they don't turn off the shower NOW!
LOL
But...but....I have a loaf in the oven, and two waiting to go in!!!!
Oooh, I love being a bakery! I'm hoping to have at least a baker's dozen.
Haha that's hilarious!
When I was little I went into many houses because I could pick locks. I never took anything, but was curious. I never got caught.
I am sorry about the door frustration. I hope it is not too expensive.
Have a nice day,
frank
Why didn't you just call a locksmith? It would have been cheaper than a new door ... and you would still have your door :)
@hipchick525600 - That would have required forethought and common sense on my part. You should know me better than that by now. haha.
What can I say? I'm a writer who thinks like an engineer.
I have a high opinion of you :)
Lol, wow.
